Agency principal Bruce L. Erley founded Creative Strategies Group (CSG) in September, 1995. Erley is a 30-year veteran of the event marketing and sponsorship field and is regarded as a leading sponsorship expert for the festivals industry. In 1995, he left the entertainment industry to found his own event marketing and sponsorship agency. Prior to that time, Erley was the Vice President for Marketing and Sales for the International, educational and cultural organization, Up with People, where he directed sponsor sales, entertainment marketing and merchandising operations. He currently serves on Up with People’s Board of Directors.
Erley conducts all general consultation, including the development of property audits, sponsorship plans, corporate sponsorship programs and training, as well as directs CSG’s ongoing operations. Erley also plays a key role in sales presentations for top tier prospects and “house accounts.” He is accredited in Public Relations (APR), and a member of the Board of Directors of the International Festivals and Events Association (IFEA), as well as the immediate past President of the IFEA Foundation. Erley is widely acclaimed as a top presenter on sponsorship topics for the festivals and events industry, having traveled most recently to Vienna, Singapore and Beijing to present at major conferences.

Renowned for its reputation on the fulfillment of sponsor rights and benefits, CSG’s Account Services Team, led by Phil Worcester, is responsible for effectively fulfilling the rights and benefits provided to sponsors by event properties as well as implementing impactful promotions and activations.
A graduate of the University of Arizona, Phil came to CSG having spent three years working in international event marketing with Up with People. Phil’s efforts embody the tradition that CSG has established in going above and beyond when fulfilling the rights and benefits of our sponsors at the numerous events we represent. He brings a positive can-do attitude to everything he approaches whether it be in the office or at an event.

Tripp joins Creative Strategies Group with a background in both advertising and sponsorship sales. Since graduating from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Sports and Exercise Science and a minor in Business Administration, Tripp has worked in a variety of roles with Kroenke Sports and Entertainment as well as Altitude TV. Over the past two years Tripp has gained valuable knowledge by working in Sponsorship and Advertising for four of Colorado’s professional sports teams. Tripp is eager to begin his career at CSG and contribute to the ever successful sponsorship sales team.

Katelyn, a Colorado native, joins CSG with a background in hospitality and a degree in Events Management from Metropolitan State University of Denver. With several years in the event side of the hospitality industry she looks forward to sharing with clients her knowledge and enthusiasm for Colorado and Metro Denver.

Jeannie McFarland Johnson has worked in the event marketing field for more than a dozen years creating dynamic and effective relationships for her clients with all types of media outlets including television stations, radio clusters, newspapers, magazines, outdoor advertising companies and new media digital assets. Her vast experience and broad understanding of the unique needs of the media and event industries have given rise to her strategic hybrid approach to media planning and implementation. She specializes in media sponsorship negotiations, promotionally leveraged media buying and public relations. Additionally, she works with clients to develop, plan and implement their social media and digital advertising programs, while also directing the creative development process for all media types. She takes pride in working with a wide variety of organizations, both large and small, event-related and otherwise, to create specialized media plans to meet and exceed the goals set forth by her clients. Notable past and present event clients include: the International Sportsmen’s Exposition, Cherry Creek Arts Festival, CowParade Denver, Colorado Dragon Boat Festival, CHUN Capitol Hill People’s Fair, Air Show Colorado, Rocky Mountain Showdown, Denver Big Air, Denver Century Ride, Up with People and Parade of Lights. Originally an East Coast girl who graduated from Sweet Briar College in Virginia, Sally has called the Colorado mountains her home since moving here in 1993. She has more than a dozen years’ experience in event marketing and sponsorship, having worked as Marketing & Events Manager for the Town of Dillon, as the Events Director for the Breckenridge Resort Chamber and most recently as the Sponsorship Director for the Breckenridge stage of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge. Sally has also served also on the Board of the Colorado Festivals & Event Association.

Linda Erley is a founding partner in CSG with her husband Bruce. Together that have worked to create an organization that values their employees and the cornerstone of client satisfaction. Following the raising of Linda and Bruce’s three sons, Linda returned to the business sector at a corporate concierge for Sun Microsystems. After Sun’s acquisition by Oracle, Linda returned to CSG where she assists with office administration, sponsor fulfillment and staff support.
